These files were written in the 1970s when Jim Wade was teaching in Mubi as a VSO teacher. He kept examples of the best essays which I was able to examine in Maiduguri in 1990. The following pages present both my own summaries and notes from these essays and digital images of the illustrations from the essays which I have made (originally for my own research purposes).
